Sidste år var der 37 lande med, da Danmark var værter for Eurovision i København. I år deltog 40 lande i alt da verdens største musikkonkurrence løber af stablen i Østrigs hovedstad, Wien.
Efter de to udskillelsesforløb i semifinlaerne 19. og 21. maj, er der nu 27 lande tilbage, som skal dyste mod hinanden i finalen 23. maj.
