There were players of all sizes on the platform as the opening of the 2016 Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition was celebrated on Saturday evening.

Talented young violinists from MGK Danmark, the Zapolski Strings and the Zapolski hopefuls gave the violin festivities a great send-off.

Conductor Alexandre Zapolski was in charge of marshaling the troops.

The concert featured music by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Carl Nielsen.
