Tonight Luke Hsu will take the platform as the soloist in Carl Nielsen’s Violin Concerto. He has been practicing the piece for a long time, but the first time he saw the score he was overwhelmed.

“When I first opened the score of the Nielsen violin concerto I looked at it I was stunned, because there were just so many notes”, he says. But he was not to be put off, and he decided that patience was the answer.
