Ji Won Song (23) was born in South Korea and was a pupil in the pre-college division of the Korean National University of the Arts before moving to the States to study with David Cerone. Aged 14 she enrolled at the Curtis Institute of Music and studied with Ida Kavafian, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Victor Danchenko. She currently studies with Donald Weilerstein and Soovin Kim at the New England Conservatory of Music. As a soloist she has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Seoul Philharmonic.
