Liubov Kalmykova (24) was born in Russia and became a Norwegian national after moving to Oslo aged 12. She has studied with Isaac Schulden at the Norwegian Academy of Music, with Pavel Vernikov at the Konservatorium Wien and, since 2015, at the “Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien“ with Johannes Meissl. As a soloist she has performed with the Saint Petersburg Youth Chamber Orchestra and Norwegian Youth Soloist Orchestra.
